Paul E. Storer

RICHMOND, Ind. – Paul E. Storer, age 92, of Richmond, Indiana, died Friday, September 22, 2017, at Rosebud Village. Born April 1, 1925, in West Alexandria, Ohio, to Charles C. and Carrie Roof Storer, Paul was a resident of this community most of his life. He was a 1943 graduate of West Alexandria High School. Paul retired from Richmond Gear and had also worked for International Harvester, Wernle Youth & Family Treatment Center, Miller’s Milk House, and Forest Hills Country Club. Paul was a member of First English Lutheran Church and formerly a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He was a member of the Webb Lodge No. 24, F. & A.M., former Boy Scout troop advisor, and a member of the Richmond Senior Center. Paul enjoyed reading, golf, and gardening. He loved his church, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Josephine Jane “Jo” Fudge Storer, to whom he was married in 1949; daughter, Carolyn Pollitt of New Lebanon, Ohio; sons, Paul Wesley Storer and Charles “Chuck” C. Storer, both of Richmond; grandchildren, Nathan (Shanna) Pollitt, Zachary (Sacha) Pollitt, Frances Storer, and Alan Storer; three great-grandsons, Lex, Dean, and Zane; three great-granddaughters, including Madison and Sara Beth; sister, Lois Baughman, of West Alexandria, Ohio; sister-in-law, Joyce Storer of Eaton, Ohio; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Florence Wehrley, Jane Smith, and Elinor Somers; and brothers, Harold, George, Hugh, Keith, Loren, and Stanley. Visitation for Paul E. Storer will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, September 25, 2017, with a Masonic Service at 6:45 p.m. at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 26, 2017, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Pastor John Walker and Pastor Chip Belanga officiating. Burial will be in Earlham Cemetery.
