Peggy L. Patterson

Peggy L. Patterson, age 68, of Brownsville, Ind., died Monday, April 21, 2008, at Reid Hospital. She was born April 21, 1940, in Richmond to Roy and Mary Grace McNally Little. Peggy was a Richmond High School graduate. She started employment at the Graphic in 1968, working there 24 years. In February 1992 they purchased The Spirit Media Inc. in Connersville, Ind., from the Graphic Publications. In September 1992 she and Nancy Kinder purchased the Centerville Crusader. She retired in 1997. Peggy was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Birthright, Fiber Art Guild, and was chairperson of the Public Affairs Committee (United Way) in 1976. Survivors include her husband and childhood sweetheart, M. Logan Patterson, to whom she was married Aug. 2, 1956; children, Franklin Delanor Patterson (Robin) of Parker, Colo., Jonathan William Patterson (Billie Jo) of Brownsville, Patrick Logan Patterson (Sue) of Richmond, Regina Marie Patterson of Richmond, Teresa Ann Thurston (John) of Richmond, Leslie Colleen Snowden (Tim) of Richmond, Denise Michelle Morris (Kevin) of Brownsville; grandchildren, Amanda Patterson Jimenez (Jose), Hillary Patterson Beal (Travis), Kendra Patterson, Jonathon William Patterson II (Staci), Angela Patterson (Brian), Michael Patterson (Carolyn), Andrea Rivera, Nellie Ruth Nash (Rob), Patrick Logan Patterson Jr., Mary Beth Thurston, Britton, Grace and Rocky Grieswell II, Cody Elmore, Janet and Destiny Morris; great-grandchildren, Cassandra and Abigail Hampton, Chase Patterson, Tyrin Beal, Jonathan Patterson III, Stephanie Patterson and Clayton Patterson, Adam Isiah Nash, Gabriel Logan Van Note, Hayden Caid Van Note, Keily Michelle Nash, Kayleigh Nicole Meece, Kegan Drew Grieswell; sisters, Mary Ann Richards of Richmond and Sheila Ruth Warren (Tom) of Orlando, Fla.; brother, James Richard Little (Theresa) of Lancaster, Calif.; and extended family, Rocky Grieswell and Dick Elmore. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Sandra Mansfield. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Friday, April 25, 2008, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road W., Richmond. A short prayer service will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, April 26 at the funeral home followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 815 West Main St., Richmond.
