Anna Minnix

Centerville, Ind. – Anna Minnix, age 92, of Centerville, went to be with the Lord Saturday, April 25, 2009, at her home with her family by her side. Born June 30, 1916, in Jackson County, Kentucky to William Roy and Margaret Fox Truett, she was a resident of Wayne county most of her life. Anna was a former member of Greenwood Church of the Nazarene and a member of Centerville Church of the Nazarene. She was actively involved in Children’s Ministry and missions. Anna enjoyed traveling, sewing, music and gardening. She was an accomplished artist and saw beauty in everything. Survivors include her four sons, Loren E. Minnix and his wife Becky of Greenwood, Ind., William D. Minnix and his wife Karen of Centerville, John K. Minnix and his wife Pam of Centerville, and C. Mark Minnix and his wife Linda of Greenwood, Ind; two daughters, Madeline R. Ford and her husband Jonathan of Greens Fork, and Debra D. Kinder and her husband Gregg of Centerville; 19 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law Eva Truett of Kentucky and Iva Starn of Richmond; nieces; nephews; cousins, including Esther Wood and her husband Frank of Muncie and Delsie Bennett of Richmond and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Minnix who died October 5, 1997; daughters Marilyn Jane Fonseca and Anita D. Minnix; infant sister, Edna Truett; and brother, Billy Truett Visitation for Anna Minnix will be from 4 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 28, 2009 at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 29, 2009, with a visitation one hour prior at Centerville Church of the Nazarene, 7181 West U.S. 40, Centerville with Rev. Ray McCrary, Rev Robert Malone and her son, Chaplain, Loren Minnix officiating. Burial will be in Jacksonburg Cemetery.
