Bruce Estes

FOUNTAIN CITY, Ind. – Bruce Estes, age 54, of Fountain City, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly, due to a medical event, on Monday, July 31, 2023, near his home. He was born on April 13, 1969, in Richmond, Indiana. Bruce was one of four sons, to Cecil and Lawanna Baker Estes. He was a 1987 graduate of Centerville High School. On December 3, 1988, he married the love of his life, Ronda Harmeyer Estes. Bruce enjoyed fishing, hunting, riding motorcycles, woodworking, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a truck driver, exclusively for White’s Dairy Delivery. Bruce was a lifetime member of the N. R. A. and a former member of the Wayne County Mounted Patrol. Left to cherish his memory include his wife of 34 years, Ronda Harmeyer Estes of Fountain City, Indiana; his son, Hunter (Katlyn) Estes of New Castle Indiana; his daughter, Jessica (Brian) Vasquez, of Lynn, Indiana; his mother, Lawanna Williams of New Castle, Indiana; his father, Cecil (Becky) Estes of Richmond, Indiana; brothers, Duane (Leah) Estes of Richmond, Indiana, Tim (Niki) Estes, of Fishers, Indiana, and Steve (Sandy) Estes, of New Madison, Ohio; grandchildren, Kooper Alan Estes, Maddox Lane and Myles Jose Vasquez; brother-in-law, Rusty (Judy) Harmeyer of Richmond, Indiana; mother-in-law, Gale Harmeyer of Fountain City, Indiana; his “partners in crime” Ed (Lorelei) Toschlog, of Centerville, Indiana, and Todd (Jamille) Bacon, of Richmond, Indiana; special uncle, John (Linda) Baker of Florida; several aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; and father-in-law, Melvin Harmeyer. Visitation for Bruce Estes will be from 11:00 a.m. to1:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Brent Baker officiating. Burial will be in Goshen Cemetery. Bruce wasn’t a “necktie” kind of guy.
