FOUNTAIN CITY, Ind. - Christopher R. Beard, age 37, of Fountain City, Indiana, died Friday, August 14, 2020, at his home. Born September 11, 1982, in Richmond, Indiana, to Robert E. and Kim Lorraine Griffy Beard, Chris was a life-long resident of this area. He was a 2001 graduate of Richmond High School and attended Ball State University. Chris was an extruder operator at Blue Buffalo and had also worked at Belden, Mosey Manufacturing, and BandC Lawn Care. He was a member of Cedar Grove Church of the Brethren and attended Lighthouse Assembly of God. Chris coached JV baseball at Northeastern High School in 2014. He enjoyed playing fantasy football with his friends at work, watching the Colts, playing his guitar, golfing, woodworking, spending time with his family, and providing for his boys. Survivors include his wife, Kristine Kay Cline Beard of New Madison, Ohio; sons, Oakley Ray and Walker Jack Beard; mother and stepfather, Kim and Dave Wybiral of Richmond; father and stepmother, Robert and Rhonda Beard of Richmond; stepfather, John Day; siblings, Tracy Lynn (Jeff) Carver of Texas, Travis (Sue) Beard of Richmond, Mary Lorraine (Todd) Coleman of Williamsburg, Indiana, Davy Phillip (Katie) Wybiral of Texas, Nathan Young of Indiana, Kimberly Wybiral of Indiana, and Larry Day, Randy Day, Shelly Maiden, Johnny Day, and Daniel Day, all of Richmond; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Kelly and Jeff Cline of Ohio; grandmothers-in-law, Sharon Lapp and Sharon Cline; sisters-in-law, Jessica (Jeff Jr.) Oswalt and Jenna Cline (Deon Kerr); aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends including John Mensior and Brent Hemmelgarn. He was preceded in death by his infant child, Olive Lucy Beard; maternal grandparents, Mary and Clyde Griffey; paternal grandparents, Phyllis Beard and Walter (Alice) Beard; maternal step-grandmother, Phyllis Wybiral; uncles, Emmett Richard Griffy and Richard and Ronny Beard; and step-uncles-in-law, Thomas Mathew Wybiral and Jack Christian. Memorial visitation for Christopher R. Beard will be from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, August 20, 2020, at Doan and Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Celebration of Life will follow at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, August 20, 2020, at Doan and Mills Funeral Home with Pastor Tony Price officiating.
