David Bruce Miller

RICHMOND, Ind. – David B ruce Miller, age 54, of Richmond, died Thursday, Sept. 17, 2009, at Indiana University Medical Hospital. He was born April 14, 1955, in Richmond to Elvin O. Miller and W. Lucille Abney. David attended Richmond Community Schools. He and Belinda Hampton were married on May 27, 2000, and had been together for a total of 19 years. David had been employed at PRC, Richmond Plating and various trucking companies and Ben Hampton Concrete & Block. He was a member as a child of the East Side Lion’s Club junior high softball team. David enjoyed playing the guitar and spending time with family and friends. He attended the Pentecostal Church of Richmond. David will be sadly missed and loved forever by his wife, Belinda Hampton Miller; sons, Brandon Miller, at home and Josh Miller (Jessica) of Richmond; daughter, Angi Eggers of Richmond; grandchildren, Alaysha and Vanden Miller, Connor Ulery, Zach Eggers and one on the way; his mother, W. Lucille Pippin (Mammie) of Richmond; brothers, Danny Miller of Richmond, Robbie Miller (Theresa), Mitch Miller (Becki), Mike Miller (Kim), all of Cambridge City, Jeff Miller (Sandy) of Connersville; stepsisters, Brenda Hovermale of Upland, Ind., Teresa Brewer (Greg) of Centerville, Lori Devers (Dan) of Jonesboro, Ind.; stepmother, Sarah Miller of New Bern, N.C.; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ben and Betty Hampton; sister-in-law, Bev Cheek (Steve); brothers-in-law, Franklin Hampton (Tina), Farron Hampton (Marcie); aunts; uncles; cousins; several nieces; nephews; and special friends, Robbie Eggers, Al Marin, Bob Little, Ernie Dewayne Bufford and Terry Banning. He was preceded in death by his father, Elvin Miller; brother, Mark Miller; grandparents, Herman and Letha Abney, and Robert “Red” and Nanny Miller; and his beloved dog, Buster. Visitation for David Bruce Miller will be from 4-9 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 20, 2009, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 21 at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Rev. Anton G. Payne Sr. and Rev. Sam Scalf officiating. Burial will be in Goshen Cemetery.
