Erma Elizabeth Gosnell

RICHMOND, Ind. - Erma Elizabeth Gosnell, age 89, of Richmond, died Friday, March 26, 2010, at Ambassador Health Care after a month long illness. Born December 21, 1920, in Jefferson County, Indiana, to Clarence and Kathryn Hall Renschler, she lived in this community for over 55 years. Erma was a clerk at S.S. Kresge for many years. She was a member of Centerville First Baptist Church and the Naomi Happy Travelers. Erma enjoyed traveling, gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include her children, Robert Carroll Cullen and his wife Lola of California, Brenda Shewman and her husband Randy of Richmond, and Charles Jefferies and his wife Sue of Westfield, Indiana; grandchildren, Angie Wolf and her husband Ron of Richmond, Aaron Shewman and his wife Miki of Winchester, Jeremy Jefferies of Muncie, Lance Cullen and his wife Aimee of Boston, Massachusetts, Emily Jefferies of Westfield, Indiana, and Melissa Cullen of Brooklyn, New York; great-grandchildren, Chase Thomas, Ian Jefferies, Katilyn Lambert, Chelsea Shewman, Austin Shewman, Iyanah Hardy, Ariyana Hardy, and Keira Elizabeth Cullen; two step-great-grandchildren, Savanna and Hannah Wolf; sister, Betty Line and her husband Buryl of Columbus, Indiana; brother-in-law, Clarence Jones of Madison, Indiana; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends including a special friend, Phyllis Templeton. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Chester Gosnell, Charles Albert Jefferies, and Robert Cullen Wedding; parents; son, Marvin Jefferies; one sister, Evelyn Jones; two brothers, Lester and Howard Renschler and his wife Helen; and sister-in-law, Mary Combs. There will be a public graveside service for Erma Elizabeth Gosnell at 3:00 p.m. Friday, April 2, 2010 at Sharon Hill Cemetery, 8298 West State Road 356, Madison, Indiana.
