Gail Ann Lydick

RICHMOND, Ind. - Gail Ann Lydick, age 76, of Richmond, died Saturday, February 19, 2011, at Reid Hospital after a short illness. Born July 14, 1934, in Logansport, Ind. to John Howard and Edna Louise Kelly Beroth, she lived most of her life in Richmond. Gail graduated from Tucson High School in Tucson, Arizona. She worked for many years at the Wayne County Clerk's office in voter registration. Gail volunteered doing tax preparation for over 30 years for AARP and the IRS. She was a Republican Precinct Committee Chairwoman for many years. Gail attended First Baptist Church of Richmond. She enjoyed crocheting, playing cards, shopping with her friends, attending her children and grandsons' sporting events, and spending time with her family. Survivors include her loving husband of 58 years, Herbert D. Lydick; daughter, Lynda Lydick of Speedway, Indiana; two sons, Dennis (Leslie) Lydick of Manassas, Virginia and David (Beth) Lydick of Richmond; five grandsons, Carl, Christopher (Sarah) and Robert Lydick, all of Manassas, Virginia, and Michael and Andrew Lydick, both of Richmond; great-grandson, Matthew Lydick; brothers-in-law, Gene Morehead, Gene (Dorothy) Lydick, and Neal Lydick; sister-in-law, Barbara Jackson; nieces, including Ranada Laughlin, Gena (Rex) Danely and Joyce (Eric) Shaffer; nephews, including Ross Sines and Kent (Rita) Morehead; cousins, including Barbara Wilson Havens; and many friends, including all of her special Berry Field friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and four sisters, Dana Laughlin, Doris Sines, Wilma Morehead, and Lois Beroth. Visitation for Gail Ann Lydick will be from 4 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 22, 2011, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 23, 2011, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Spon officiating. Burial will be in Earlham Cemetery.
