Kaylee Jane Owens

Kaylee Jane Owens, newborn, was sadly taken too soon on Saturday, October 13, 2012, at Reid Hospital. She was born to her parents, Tracey Barnes and Kory Cecil Owens, both of Richmond. Dearest Baby Kaylee, please know our greatest blessing was you. Heaven’s gain was our loss when our angel was called by our Lord. Kaylee came into this world too soon and was taken too soon. Kaylee, Mommy and Daddy will always love and miss you. You will always be loved and never be forgotten. Survivors include her parents; maternal grandmother, Robin Barnes of Richmond; maternal grandfather, Gary (Tammy) Barnes Sr. of Richmond; paternal grandmother, Mindy Owens of Richmond; paternal grandfather, Kevin Owens of Richmond; paternal great-grandmother, Patsy Owens of Richmond; maternal great-grandmother, Patricia Wadsworth of Ohio; maternal great-grandfather, Melvin Slusher of Richmond; paternal great-grandmother, Patsy Owens of Richmond; maternal aunt, Tina Barnes of Richmond; paternal aunt, Amanda White of Richmond; maternal uncles, Gary Barnes Jr. of Richmond and Lucas Strunk of Richmond; paternal uncle, Greg Gomez of Richmond; and many cousins, great-aunts, great-uncles, and loved ones. She was preceded in death by her cousin, Casey Joe Ruble-Barnes and uncle, Casey Jo Barnes. Visitation for Kaylee Owens will be from 1 to 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 19, 2012, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 19, 2012, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Rev. Allen Henderson officiating. Burial will be in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. We will be lighting candles in Glen Miller Park on October 24, 2012 from 7 to 10 p.m. Each candle will cost $5 and all money earned will be donated to Tracey Barnes and Kory Owens to assist them with these unexpected costs. There will also be a bake sale to raise additional money, including snacks and hot chocolate. All additional donations are welcome. We hope that everyone can come out and support baby Kaylee on her journey to Heaven by helping to light the way.
