Kelly Lynn Mooney

RICHMOND, Ind. - Kelly Lynn Mooney, age 49, of Richmond, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, July 6, 2014, with her family by her side. Born June 16, 1965, in Richmond, to Martin L. and Shirley A. Campbell Miller, she was a life-long resident of this area. Kelly was a 1984 graduate of Richmond High School. She was a 1990 graduate from the nursing program at IVY Tech School of Practical Nursing. Kelly received her Associate of Science in Nursing from IVY Tech Community College in 2013. She was a dedicated and compassionate nurse for twenty-four years at Golden Living Center/Golden Rule. Kelly was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and a long time member of the YMI. She was a fun-loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Kelly loved swimming, fishing, vacations, and spending time with her family. Survivors include her husband, Stephen Mooney to whom she was married on July 27, 1996; son, Anthony Duncan; daughter, Andrea (Moises Benjamin Arroyo) Duncan of Richmond; step-son, Jason (Blerina) Mooney of Richmond; step-daughter, Courtney (Michael Frazier-Christi) Mooney of Richmond; grandchildren, Jacob Mooney, Brandon Mooney, Aiden Duncan, and Benjamin Arroyo, all of Richmond; mother, Shirley Campbell; sisters, Kristy Porfidio of Richmond and Tamara (Brian) Jones of Shelbyville, Indiana; father-in-law, Charles Roach of Florida; brother-in-law, Michael (Alice) Mooney of Virginia; sister-in-law, Tina (Ed) Miller of Florida; step-brothers-in-law, Thomas (Elaine) Rains, Tracy (Lisa) Holt, Scott (Amy) Holt, all of Richmond; 'Granny', Dortha Hurley of Richmond; aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; special friends, Carrie Adams and Wendy Bane; and many other friends. She was preceded in death by her father; mother-in-law, Virginia Sue Roach; father-in-law, Willard Mooney; mother-in-law, Shirley Mooney; and brother-in-law, Joe Porfidio. Visitation for Kelly Lynn Mooney will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 9, 2014, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Short Prayers will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, July 10, 2014, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home followed by the Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church with Father Kevin Morris officiating. Burial will be in St. Andrew Catholic Cemetery.
