RICHMOND, Ind. – Lillian Marie Williams, age 94, of Richmond, Indiana, died Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at Friends Fellowship Community surrounded by her family. Lillian was born in Richmond, Indiana on May 21, 1929. Lillian lived at Wernle’s Children’s Home for several years before being adopted as a child by Irvin and Margaret Hamilton of Centerville, Indiana. She was a life-long resident of Wayne County. She attended Centerville Schools for many years and graduated from Webster High School in 1948 after a family move. After high school, Lillian worked several years at Belden before marrying her husband, Malcolm F. “Bill” Williams on April 17, 1954. She was a homemaker while raising her children, Carol, and Tom. After their graduations, she then worked at Hill Floral Products and later at Wayne County Federal Teachers Union as a teller and loan officer until her retirement in 1992. Lillian was a charter member of St. Michael’s/Faith United Lutheran Church and served as a council member for several years. After her retirement, she joined the Roman Catholic Church and was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish. Lillian will be remembered as a loving and caring person by her family and friends. Her family will agree she was one of the funniest people they knew, and she always had a smile on her face. Lillian is survived by her children, Carol (Donnie) McCurdy and Tom (Marcia) Williams all of Centerville, Indiana; grandchildren, Amanda (Jason) Landrum of Kokomo, Indiana, Rae Ann (Mark) Turner of Centerville, Indiana, Blaine (Valerie) Williams of Greenwood, Indiana, and Bart (Kristin Horak) Williams of Charlotte, North Carolina; six great-grandchildren, Rylan and Abbi Schuerman of Centerville, Ethan and Clarissa Landrum of Kokomo, and Lilli and Charlie Williams of Greenwood. She was preceded in death by her first husband and the father of her children, Malcolm F. “Bill” Williams in 1979 and her second husband, John Marshall Williams Sr. whom she married in 1992. He passed away in 2013. Lillian’s family would like to thank all of her caretakers in The Courtyard Memory Unit at Friends Fellowship Community. The care and love Lillian received from these people was outstanding. She was treated by all as a member of their own family. Visitation for Lillian Marie Williams will be from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday, December 18, 2023, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Monday, December 18, 2023, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
