Margaret Theresa Robinson

RICHMOND, Ind. – Our beloved mother, Margaret Robinson, died on February 11, 2025, after a brief illness. She was 92. Margaret was born in Tipton, IN to Albert and Lilian Gall. She graduated from St. Joseph’s Academy. She met her future husband, John Robinson, on a double date with her sister. They married in June 1953. Margaret and John moved to Bloomington to attend Indiana University after John’s military career. Margaret studied to become a teacher before becoming a mother. How one woman could be so beautiful, keep a spotless home, make all the meals, and care for her family remains a mystery to her children. When they became empty-nesters, Margaret went to beauty school to do nails which she did for over 20 years. After John retired, she started the Designer Consigner resale business in his old building. It was wonderful to see her do things for her own purposes and enjoyment. She was still working in her 80s and didn’t care to slow down. Retirement and her own home were her final chapter. After losing her husband of 59 years, Margaret blossomed with her friends, her church, and making her own happiness. Margaret modeled beauty, grace, faith, kindness, resilience, independence, and love so that her children would grow up to be like her. Her children are forever grateful for her love and care. Margaret will be lovingly remembered by her children, Julie Robinson (Joseph Little) of Richmond, Marlene Fulcher (Robert) of Bloomington, Scott Robinson (Courtney) of Cincinnati, OH, and Jill Robinson of Bloomington. She is joined in rest by her husband John Robinson, her parents, sisters Agnes Ripberger, Joan Varnau, Charlotte Richwine, Sr. Dorothy Gall, Rosemary Mason, and brothers Robert Gall, James Gall, and Philip Gall. Her twin Martha Hiatt survives as do many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family. The calling for Margaret will be Saturday, February 15, 2025, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home in Richmond from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. The funeral will immediately follow at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Chip Belanga officiating.
