Maxine C. McLear

RICHMOND, Ind. - Maxine C. McLear, age 73, of Richmond, died Saturday, January 24, 2009. Born April 26, 1935, in Richmond, to Max A. and Fannie Rizio Scotece, Maxine was a life-long resident of Richmond. She was a 1953 graduate of Richmond High School and attended Purdue University. Maxine retired as a receptionist from Friends Fellowship Community after 16 years. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. Maxine was a life member of Richmond High School Alumni Association and past member of OptiMrs, Psi Iota Xi, Holy Family Women's Club, and Centerville Bulldog Boosters. Her husband, children, and grandchildren were the light of her life. Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Robert E. McLear; two sons, Robert E. McLear III and his wife Michelle of Batavia, Illinois and Michael R. McLear and his wife Judy of Vincennes, Indiana; two daughters, Sally A. Baumer and her husband Jim of Centerville and Kathleen A. Gray and her husband Chip of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Jonathan M. McLear and his wife Dianna of Aurora, Illinois, Robert E. McLear IV and his wife Amy of Warrenville, Illinois, Ryan A. McLear of Batavia, Illinois, Chelsea E. McLear and Sarah E. McLear, both of Vincennes, Thomas M. Baumer of Indianapolis, Kathryn M. Baumer of Fishers, Anne E. Baumer of Centerville, Hillary C. Gray and Dylan T. Gray, both of Indianapolis; great-granddaughters, Natalie and Cara McLear, both of Aurora; sister, Alice J. Kozlowski and her husband Leon of Munster; niece, Susan Kucharski and her husband David and their son Scott of Munster; extended family; and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Richard Scotece, and uncle John Rizio and his wife Polly. Visitation for Maxine C. McLear will be from 4 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, January 26, 2009 at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Liturgy of Christian Burial will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 27, 2009, at Holy Family Catholic Church, 815 West Main Street, Richmond, with Father Todd Riebe officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.
