RICHMOND, IN– It is with peace and joy the family of Rebecca Jo Fisher Murray announces she went home to be with our Lord on December 17, 2023, with family by her side. Becky was a lifelong resident of Richmond, Indiana, born with her twin sister, Roberta Fisher, on January 27, 1948, to John and June Railsback Fisher. Along with her siblings, Becky had a childhood filled with wonderful yet mischievous memories. After graduating from Richmond High School, Becky went on to get married and have children before returning to the workforce. She worked as an aide at Rose Hamilton Elementary School, then later worked as an editor at Striderite, where she met wonderful lifelong friends before retiring after 25 years of service. Becky found great joy in her family. She enjoyed working outside to take care of the house. Grandchildren and great grandchildren were the light of her life. Becky enjoyed being with them and whatever they were doing. She loved visitors and loved to shop with her sisters. Becky loved her sweets from DQ and Little Debbie’s. She was especially thankful for her special niece, Beth, who brought her meals. Becky spent many days watching the original NCIS while being with her pets, Hope and Bo. Becky is survived by her daughter Tricia (Steve) Luebbe of Richmond; grandchildren, Sabrina (Trevor) Luebbe, Mariah (Andrew) Carlin, Grant and Adam Luebbe, all of Richmond; great grandchildren, Jaxson and Paisley Carlin; her sisters, Roberta Fisher of Richmond, and Sandra Rigsby of Richmond; many nieces; nephews; sisters in law, Jo Ann Fisher and Cheryl Fisher; and friends, including special friends Barb Ashcraft, Gail See, and Linda Piney; as well as neighbors, Bob and Jolene Niewoehner. Becky was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Stephen Fisher and Gary Fisher; and special aunt Anna Mary Railsback; as well as her pets, Molly and Sadie. Family would like to say thank you to Guardian Home Care and Tammy Ramsey for taking such good care of mom. We would also like to thank Lisa for all of the medical interpretations and staying the night with mom so we could rest. We all love you Mom and words can’t express how much you will be missed. Merry Christmas to you and our family in Heaven. Until we are together again…. Visitation for Rebecca Jo Fisher Murray will be from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m Thursday, December 21, 2023, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 21, 2023, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Pastor Jacob Gibson from Lifespring Church officiating. Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery. Thank you for coming to honor Becky’s life alongside us today. There will not be a formal receiving line.
