Roberta (Bobbe) Helene Morgan Kelly

RICHMOND, Ind. – Roberta (Bobbe) Helene Morgan Kelly, age 83, of Richmond, Indiana, died Thursday, October 31, 2024, at Arbor Trace surrounded by family. Born August 1, 1941, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, to Robert and Mari Powers Horton, Bobbe had lived in Richmond since she was a young child. She was a 1959 graduate of Richmond High School, and went on to become a registered nurse, graduating from Indiana Wesleyan in 1995. She worked at Reid Hospital, hospice, Ball Memorial Hospital, and home health care agencies. Bobbe enjoyed quilting, and each family member had a quilt she made that they cherish. New babies and spouses each received a quilt to show that they were a member of the family. Bobbe belonged to a quilt guild that made quilts for veterans and shut-ins and sent quilts to victims of disasters. She was an avid reader, enjoyed watching cooking shows, and helped with the older adult ministry at church. Bobbe especially loved spending time with her family. She was a member of College Corner United Methodist Church. Survivors include her daughters, Laura (Shawn) Johnson and Kathy Morgan; son, John Morgan; grandchildren, Michael (Krista) Johnson and Kaitlyn (Matt) Hartman; great grandchildren, Kinsleigh Johnson, Bryce Johnson, Matilyn Hartman; bonus great-grandchildren, Sabryna Wills, Katelynn Colwell, Lance Cantrell; bonus great-great-grandchildren, Connor, Caiden, and Bentley; sister, Becky (Jim) Kennedy; brother, Brian Horton; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 17 years, Donald Kelly on December 8, 2018; parents, Robert and Mari Horton; son, Jeff Morgan; sister-in-law, Marilyn Dillon; and nephew, Tim Kennedy. Visitation for Roberta (Bobbe) Helene Morgan Kelly will be from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Saturday, November 16, 2024, at College Corner United Methodist Church, 89 Church Street, West College Corner, IN 47003. Funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, November 16, 2024, at College Corner United Methodist Church with Pastor Charlotte Barden officiating.
