Sheila J. Shultz

INVERNESS, Fla. – Sheila J. Shultz, age 78, of Inverness, Florida, died Wednesday, December 21, 2016, in Lecanto, Florida. Sheila was born February 5, 1938, in Centerville, Indiana, daughter of the late Ralph and Martha Cheeseman Winters. Mrs. Shultz worked as an Office Manager for Accounting office. She was an avid traveler and loved documenting her travels in photos. Sheila especially enjoyed the mountains and visiting Yosemite, Bryce and Zion National Parks. She had a passion for her family and was very involved in her extended family by participating in her annual family reunion which has been ongoing since the early 1920's. Sheila loved her Centerville High School classmates who shared a special bond through the years. Mrs. Shultz was a member of Inverness Golf and Country Club and First United Methodist Church of Inverness. As an expert seamstress she was a member of the Florida Sewing Society and the American Sewing Guild. Survivors include her husband, John C. Shultz of Inverness, Florida; two sons, Tony Shultz and his wife, Dawn, of Sarasota, Florida, and David Shultz of Berkeley, California; grandson, Brian Kenny and his wife, Jackee; two great-grandchildren, Brendan Kenny and Julian Kenny of Scottsdale, Arizona; sister, Nancy Purcell of Inverness, Florida; and two brothers, Jerry Winters of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, and Keith Winters of Inverness, Florida. Mrs. Shultz was preceded in death by parents and sister, Julia Nuss. Memorial service for Sheila J. Shultz will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, June 23, 2017, in the Chapel of the Earlham Memorial Mausoleum, 1101 National Road West, Richmond, with Rev. Ted Chalk officiating. Burial will be in Earlham Cemetery. Local arrangements are being handled by Mills Funeral Home, Centerville. A Service of Remembrance and Visitation was held at the Inverness Chapel of Hooper Funeral Homes with Dr. Paul Hall officiating.
