Sue Ellen Doan

WILLIAMSBURG, Ind. – Sue Ellen Doan, age 55, of Williamsburg, died Sunday, April 11, 2010, in an automobile accident near Winchester, Indiana. Born August 18, 1954, in New Castle, Indiana, to Samuel G. and Helen R. Ward Stevens, she lived most of her life in this area. Sue graduated in 1973 from National Trail High School. She was employed by CrownPointe Communities in Yorktown for over 15 years. Sue was a longtime member of North 27 Worship Center. She enjoyed cooking and entertaining friends and family. Sue had three children and two beautiful grandchildren whom she doted upon and adored. She loved God and kept the faith throughout her life and was always available to lend a helping hand. Sue loved to camp. To know her was to love her and she will be missed dearly. Survivors include her husband of 36 years, Mark D. Doan of Richmond; son, James D. Doan and his wife Jessica of Westfield, Indiana; daughters, Amy S. Vickery and her husband Craig of Winchester and Lisa A. Davis and her husband Chris of Richmond; two grandchildren, Katelyn Doan and Caleb Vickery; mother, Helen Stevens of Lenoir City, Tennessee; brothers, Rev. Robert E. Johnson and his wife Linda of Richmond, Gordon L. Stevens of Lenoir City, Tennessee, Samuel “Tony” Stevens and his wife Teresa of Huber Heights, Ohio, and Rev. Darrell D. Stevens and his wife Stella of Lenoir City, Tennessee; sisters, Wanda M. Miller, Rev. Mary A. Campbell and her husband Randy, and Teresa G. King and her husband Terry, all of Lenoir City, Tennessee; several nieces and nephews; and many friends. She was preceded in death by her father. Visitation for Sue Ellen Doan will be from 4 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, April 15, 2010 at North 27 Worship Center, 5172 North US Hwy 27, Richmond, Indiana. Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 16, 2010, at North 27 Worship Center with Rev. Robert Johnson and Rev. Darrell Stevens officiating. Burial will be in Spring Lawn Cemetery, New Paris, Ohio. Doan & Mills Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
