Barbara Ann Robinson

RICHMOND, Ind. – Barbara Ann Robinson, age 69, of Richmond, Indiana, died Thursday, August 23, 2018, at Reid Health. Barbara was born November 6, 1948, in Connersville, Indiana, to Johnnie Allen and “Ina” Smith Ervine on their fourth wedding anniversary. She was a 1966 graduate of Connersville High School. After graduating and getting married, Barbara moved to Liberty, Indiana, where she made her home and raised her two children. While living in Liberty, Barbara also worked as a manager at Pizza King. She then moved to Richmond, then to Florida, and then returned to Richmond in 2004. After working several jobs, Barbara found her ideal job at Stronghold Storage in Richmond. She loved her customers and made some good friends while working there. Barbara was a member of Merritt Island Moose Lodge #2073. She loved her family. Survivors include her two daughters, Crystal Lynn (Milt) Ewing of Liberty and Angel Dawn Robinson of Richmond; two beloved granddaughters, Morgan (Daniel) Ewing Schwegman of Noblesville, Indiana, and Kimber Dawn (Tyler Burgis) Robinson of Richmond; sister, Agnes Ervine Wilcher of Maricopa, Arizona; niece, Tracey (Darren) Rindahl of Maricopa, Arizona; nephew, Joe (Stacey) Short of Chandler, Arizona; several great-nieces and great-nephews; cousins, Kathie Nichols of Connersville and William J. (Trisha) Friend of Greenwood, Indiana; extended family of cousins; and several good friends, including her beloved pets, Sophie, Mickey, and Tippy. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Johnnie Allen, who died in 1957 and Ina, who died in 1991; stepfather, Robert “Bob” Myers, who died in 2004; grandparents; nephew, Ralph “David” Short, who died in 2011; several extended family members; and beloved fiancé, Dennis Grimes, who died in 1994. Memorial visitation for Barbara Ann Robinson will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, August 30, 2018, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Memorial service will follow at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, August 30, 2018, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Rev. Alan Keesling officiating.
