CENTERVILLE, Ind. – Cecil Leroy Revalee, age 81, of Centerville, died Saturday, October 15, 2011, at Stonebrooke Rehabilitation Center in New Castle. Born March 22, 1930, in Richmond, to Isaac David and Bessie Beulah Ladd Revalee, he lived most of his life in Centerville. Cecil was a 1948 graduate of Boston High School. He was a semi-pro baseball player with the Durham Bulls in North Carolina. Cecil was a bank officer at 1st National Bank and worked at Commercial Motor Freight. He was a security guard for Belden Wire and Cable, where he retired in 1989. Cecil also worked at Birck’s Hardware. He was a member of the National Guard. Cecil enjoyed baseball, country music, and spending time with his family. Survivors include his children, Debrah (John) Lukes of Washington, Kenneth Lee (Carol) Revalee of Tennessee, Steven Nusbaum of Cambridge City, Jane (Ken) Bond of Indianapolis, Barb (Bill) Spotts of Centerville, Rick Revalee of Richmond, Robin Miers of New Castle, Bob (Vicki) Martin of North Carolina, Mark (Amanda) Revalee of Cambridge City, Steve Martin of Richmond, Katha Martin Haggerty of Richmond, Dawn (Jeff) Stevens of Dublin, and Jerry Martin of Richmond; 35 grandchildren, John, Gillian, Keith, Kathy, Tyler, Ben, Nichole, Cameron, K.C., Shane, Eric, Travis, Jordy, Reanna, Michelle, Angela, Jennifer, Zachary, Tyler, Ashley, Hannah, Dustin, Taylor, Amber, Alex, Tyler, Spencer, Morghan, Michael Steven, Loreena, Steven, Alison, Shelby, Jerry Jr., and Myriah; great-grandchildren, Jadon, Riley, Olivia, Ella, Brandon, Courtney, Caitlin, Makayla, Austin, Selena, Brinn, Taylor, Gabriella, Coleson, Bashir, Zain, Lina, Wyatt, Isabella, Garrett, Alexander, Marley, one on the way, Olivia, Dezmyn, Zoie, and Sophie; sisters, Kathleen Meek of Ohio, Joan Lawrence of Richmond, and Hazel (Bryant) Crockett of Richmond; nieces; nephews; cousins, including Gary Rinehart of Richmond; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eileen Cloud Revalee, who died on July 28, 2002; son, Michael Steven Martin; parents; sisters, Phyllis Jean Fanter and Lois Jane Revalee; and brother-in-laws, Jerry Lawrence, Dale Meek, and Vern Fanter. Visitation for Cecil Leroy Revalee will be from 4 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, October 17, 2011 at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 18, 2011, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery.
