RICHMOND, Ind. – Jack E. Wickett, age 83, of Richmond, died Saturday, October 15, 2016, at Ambassador Health Care. Born June 25, 1933, in Wayne County, Indiana, to John Edgar and Ida Shipman Wickett, Jack lived most of his life in Wayne County. He graduated from Webster High School. Jack served in the U.S. Air Force. He retired after 32 years with Perfect Circle/Dana Corporation and also was an auctioneer for over 40 years. He was a member of the Perfect Circle 25 Year Club and charter member of the U.A.W. Local 279. Survivors include his wife, Emma May Clem-Wickett, to whom he was married in 2000; daughter, Shelley (Wally) Marker of New Castle, Indiana; son, Jeffrey Wickett of Florida; grandchildren, Kristy (Sean) Cougill and Josh (Marilyn) Marker, both of New Castle, Indiana; step-son, Bart (Darlene Kemp) Brammer of Tennessee; step-granddaughters, Angela (Brian) Porter of Indianapolis, Indiana, Renee (James Allen) Clevenger of Bloomington, Indiana, and Sara (Jerry) Sonheim of Bedford, Indiana; step-great-grandchildren, Samantha Clevenger, Alexis Sonheim, and Javin Sonheim; Emma’s step-children, Mark (Sandy) Polver and John (Marie) Polver, both of Richmond and Mike (Jen) Polver of Georgia; Emma’s step-grandchildren, Todd (Rhonda) Polver of Texas, Angie (Scott) Livesay of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Andrew (Miranda) Polver and Colin Polver, both of Richmond; several of Emma’s step-great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Norma Fleming; brothers, Richard and Samuel Wickett; first wife, Lou Anna Walters Wickett; and step-daughter-in-law, Jeanine Brammer. Visitation for Jack E. Wickett will be from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Thursday October 20, 2016, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. A celebration of Jack’s life will follow at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, October 20, 2016, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with military honors provided by the Wayne County Honor Guard.
