Maxine Paul

Mary Maxine Paul, age 94 of Richmond, died Saturday, June 09, 2007, at Oak Ridge Rehab. She was born October 4, 1912, in Wayne County, to Walter Lafuse and Martha Carson Lafuse and had been a resident of Richmond most of her life. Maxine was a graduate of Boston High School and attended Miami University. Mrs. Paul was a charter member of Christ Presbyterian Church and Widowed Persons Service. She was a member of Kiwanianne Club of Richmond, Y’s menettes, and active in Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, 4-H, Hospice, Gray Ladies, and Reid Hospital Auxiliary. Maxine was a former State President of the State Optometric Association. Survivors include her husband, John H. Paul to whom she was married Setpember 9, 1989; one daughter, Gayle A. Rose of Richmond; two sons, Dale Tubesing of Richmond and Morris Tubesing of Atlanta, Georgia; grandchildren, Kevin Rose, Sharon Derickson, D.R. Tubesing, Christine Warner, Mark Tubesing, and Joann Tubesing; great-grandchildren, Kraig Rose, Keith Rose, Natalie Miller, Karen Miller, Josh Miller, Candice Roell, Jordan Miller, Garrett Bonner, Brooke Tubesing, Drew Tubesing, Jazzmin Warner, Tennyson Warner, Camden Warner, Jake Tubesing, Landon Tubesing, and Lilla Tubesing; one step-daughter, Connie Watkins and her husband Dan; one step-son, Gary Paul and his wife Beverly; step-grandchildren; one brother, Eugene Lafuse of Richmond; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Dr. Robert Tubesing who died in 1966, her second husband, Martin Snyder who died in 1972, one brother, one grandchild, and one great-grandchild. Funeral service for Mary Maxine Paul will be 1:00 pm Wednesday, June 13, 2007, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond, Indiana. Pastor Bill H. Lewellen and Pastor Rick Doan will officiate. Burial will be in Lutherania Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 4 to 8 pm at Doan & Mills Funeral Home.
