Thelma Louise Cline

Thelma Louise Cline, age 92, of Centerville, Indiana, died Saturday, August 10, 2024, at Ambassador Healthcare. Thelma was born July 30, 1932, in North Terre Haute, Indiana, to Orville C. and Flora H. Anderson Smith. Thelma married the love of her life, Charles Kenneth Cline Jr., on April 5, 1952, in Terre Haute. She was a long-time resident of this community. Thelma retired in 1995 as a claims representative for Richmond Social Security Office. She formerly worked at Burton & Simkin Law Office. Thelma was a member of the Centerville Fire/Rescue Auxiliary and the Indiana Volunteer Firefighters Association Auxiliary. She enjoyed Frappes, strawberries and cream, the Grinch, and Andy Griffith. Thelma loved playing Bingo and games on her tablet. Survivors include her daughters, Laura L. (Darrell) Beck, of Richmond, Indiana, Leslie L. (Dennis) Spears, of Centerville, Indiana, and Diana R. Becht, of Centerville, Indiana; grandchildren, Michael Beck, Greg Beck, Kevin Becht, and Tammy (Anthony) Smith; 8 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; and sister in laws, Nancy Smith and Shirley Strole. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Kenneth Cline Jr., who died in 2015; parents; sister, Betty J. Kania; brothers, Cecil J. Smith, William R. Smith, and Bobby L. Smith; and her cat and dog, Pumpkin and Joey. The family would like to thank the staff at Ambassador Healthcare, especially Brenda, Casie, Cassie, Sara and Lesley for taking such good care of Thelma. The family would also like to thank Dr. DeSantis and Emily for their professional care, compassion, and dedication. Visitation for Thelma Louise Cline will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, August 16, 2024, at Mills Funeral Home, 405 East Main St., Centerville, Indiana. The I.V.F.A.A. will conduct a memorial service at the conclusion of visitation. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 17, 2024, at Mills Funeral Home with Pastor Coleman Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.
